Algae Culture Nutrients Plus Vitamins for Freshwater is a suitable product for anyone culturing freshwater algae. This nutrient mix allows the algae to grow optimally.

Only mix when you are about to use it. DO NOT premix and store. KEEP in the freezer until ready to mix. Freeze at – 4 ͨ or for longer periods at – 20 ͨ.

Algae Culture Nutrients Plus Vitamins for Freshwater is for freshwater phytoplankton/ microalgae culture media.

MLA medium, according to the description of this media by Bolch & Blackburn (1996).

+    1 Part A (1 x)      1ml to 1 liter
+    2 Parts B (0.5 x)  2ml to 1 liter
+    1 Part C (1 x)      1ml to 1 liter

4ml of nutrients to 1 liter clean chlorine free water

Algae Culture Nutrients Contains:

• Part A: Mg²⁺, Ca²⁺, Mn²⁺, Cu²⁺, Zn²⁺, Co²⁺, Na⁺, Cl^–, SO₄^2- & , NO₃^–;
• Part B:Na⁺, K⁺,PO₄^3-,HCO^3-, BO₃^3-,MoO₄²⁺,SO₄^2-.
• Part C:Fe³⁺, Cl^–, Na⁺, EDTA.

Plus: Vitamins (Thiamine-HCl, Biotin & B₁₂), included in part A.

Product Conditioning:

Parts A, B & C are gamma-irradiated, while the vitamin mix is 0.2 micron filtered.

If you have an alga that contains diatoms then you will need to add SODIUM METASILICATE Pentahydrate to the MLA culture media.
