Algae Paste Freshwater 4 Species is an excellent high density & high-quality product. These alga’s are grown, harvested and cared for at our facility in Victoria. The pastes are made weekly or for our breeders, and hatchery owners we can make quantity on-demand.

Furthermore, we have all the equipment in-house to ensure you get the best product and the freshest product on the market. Finally, we have 2 x centrifuges, 1 x production (flow-through) centrifuge, 1 x 120L autoclave, 1 x horizontal flow through laminar bench (clean bench), 1 x horizontal flow through laminar storage cabinet.

This product can be used for feeding your SPS Corals, Rotifers, Copepods, Amphipods, Isopods, Brine Shrimp, Daphnia Shrimp, and many other critters and cultures. The range from very 2um to 8um flagella size makes it easy for all age of cultures to consume for whatever you feed it to.

MicroMagic Algae Paste is made from MicroMagic freshwater phytoplankton. MicroMagic is a nutritious mixture of four Phytoplankton strains (Nano, Iso, Tet, and Thal). Therefore, it is great for feeding copepods, corals, clams, and other filter-feeding inverts. Therefore, this algae paste is a hand-selected blend of some of the most nutritious Phytoplankton strains available.

What’s in MicroMagic Algae Paste?

MicroMagic Algae Paste consists of our blend of four Phytoplankton species:

“Chlorella”

This alga is a freshwater genus of single-cell green algae. It is spherical in shape, about 2 to 10μm in diameter, and does not have flagella. Furthermore, through photosynthesis, it multiplies rapidly, requiring only carbon dioxide, water, sunlight, and a small number of minerals to reproduce.

“Spirulina”

This is one of the strains in the algae paste.

“Haematococcus”

– The greatest natural source for astaxanthin is in this unique microalgae

– This alga makes high amounts of astaxanthin when its condition is not correct, including high UV exposure.

“Scendesmus”

This is one of the strains in the algae paste.

“Nanno (freshwater species)”

This is one of the strains in the algae paste.

Suggested feeding Directions

Add 5ml per 1.25L (HCS E-Book has more specific dosage information)

• Spot-feed SPS corals and inverts to maximize growth
• All filter feeders will enjoy fresh paste with the additives like others (caking agents, ash, preservatives etc)
• Use Aquatic Live Food’s live copepods, amphipods, rotifers to establish or maintain a healthy zooplankton population in your tank.

Storage for Algae Paste Freshwater 4 Species:

• Store in freezer
• Mix only what you need for 7 days and store mixed in the fridge. (it will be good for 7-10 days)
• Stored frozen will last 2 years
• Don’t freeze and thaw and refreeze too many times.

Storage suggestion:

This product comes with a Silicone Mini Food Grade Ice Tray

The paste sent frozen normally defrosts so it is best to put the paste into the tray and freeze.

Put the frozen cubes into a snaplock bag so the cubes do not get freezer burn.

When you are ready to use the paste, put one cube per 1.25L into your tank.
