Aquatic Live Food is now culturing the super small Marine Rotifers SS Strain (Brachionus rotundiformis). Our culture is clean and the size of the rotifers ranges from 120-180um (microns).

These rotifers are one third the size of newly hatched brine shrimp, giving smaller organisms a chance to feed. Their very small size is very important to breeders and anyone wanting to breed fish.

This is because young fry has a very small mouth gape which makes it very hard to ingest food. Due to this, smaller fry normally die as they are unable to open their mouth wide enough to eat L strain rotifers.

Our live SS rotifers are fed on MicroMagic marine 4 spec phytoplankton. These rotifers also make a perfect feed for your filter feeders, hard corals, soft corals and other reef carnivores.

Shipped in a dense solution of phytoplankton called MicroMagic marine Live, comprised of Tetraselmis, Nannochloropsis, Isochrysis, Thalassiosira weissflogii. (This is what we feed to our Zooplankton cultures).
