Daphnia is a highly nutritious, live food that you can easily raise to feed your tropical fish,
Axolotl’s and Betas. Daphnia is also known as “water fleas” because of the way they move while swimming through the water, it’s a jerky movement.
Daphnia are small, freshwater crustaceans that can be found all over the world in freshwater lakes, rivers, streams, ponds and puddles. They are an excellent source of fish food due to their high protein content. They are fed to so many different types of freshwater creatures I could not list them all here, however here are a few types. Discus, Goldfish, Angelfish, Axolotls’ and especially to any young fry (5mm to 75mm in size).
