Copepods, these are found naturally in your aquarium which arrive on live rock, they are a similar size to newly hatched brine shrimp and are an excellent food source for Discus fry, killifish, anglefish, ghost knife fish etc, all of which eat these at a steady rate.
The freshwater rotifers, are 1/3 rd of the size of newly hatched brine shrimp. They have been reared on live phytoplankton to ensure the best nutritional value they are an excellent food source for many freshwater fish, all fish fry and animals including, shrimps etc.
Once received they must be acclimated to your aquarium water parameters as soon as possible. Replenishing your tanks zooplankton; then add them while the lights are off so as to allow them time to find hiding places and homes. Once in your tank they will add to the critter population until eaten will survive in the plants and other hiding places. They are a valuable addition to the freshwater tank one with many benefits. Storage: If you plan on feeding the mix over a number of days, they can be kept in the refrigerator in a 50% larger bottle than they came in. Add the extra water from your tank the lid must be opened to allow oxygen exchange (live algae) and critters to breathe. They will survive 5-7 days in the fridge. They will consume the phyto while in the bottle.
